Dec 18: FOG WARNING has a new website ya'll---www.fogwarningthemovie.com

Nov 27: Fantabulous news!! The short film, AS WE WERE was just sold to Ouat Media out of Toronto. They will now distribute the film to large film festivals, tv, the internet and who knows what else. This just goes to show James Mixon's talent, his first film directorial experience. So congrats to him and also to us.

Nov 26: Check out the commercial you internet fiends...Majestic Gardens...

Nov 24: I will be playing Herman Melville in the stage production of "The Composition of Herman Melville". Show goes up Jan 2009. Tix and dates are soon to come. Will be a challenging and fun role to play.

Nov 17: Had a producers session audition for One Life to Live. Which is very good news, it's the closest i've been to a serious role in a career making opportunity. I auditioned for the top producers of the show. I won't expect anything of it just due to the nature of the biz, but regardless it's still cool to get that far with it.

Nov 15: Finished my part in SASQUATCH ASSAULT. The film looks like it will be fantastic, if you like sweet indie horror action flicks. The film will be finished March 1, although I'm not exactly sure when it will be available for the public to see. More to come as i find out the details. Here's a few links to check out...Synthetic Cinema...IMDB for Sasquatch Assault...Filming Blog

Oct 31: The best day of the year is finally here, and it arrives with good news! FOG WARNING has recently had two more reviews. Both have specifically mentioned my name. This Review tears the movie apart but says that the "HITS" of the movie is 'Cuyle Carvin's Acting'. So that is fantastic news--Thanks G-man for the compliments! In another review, it says ' Cuyle Carvin had many notable moments, but his talent was mostly overlooked in the role'. Thanks www.IndieExpress.com!

Oct 10: News of a different sort--Many people don't know i also dabble in the music field. I play a little guitar and sing a little diddy and now I will be performing an original song Oct. 20 for a televised talent show in Salem and the Boston area. It's American Idol style and so if i get enough votes to win then i will be ushered onto opening for another band and then a film festival at a later point.

Oct. 3: For all you Big Foot fans, aka Alex Tucker, I'm in a new horror flick that features a rampaging Sasquatch. I have a smaller part, I play Jameson Renfro, a rookie cop who is a bit socially awkward and nerdy. Unfortunately Jameson's fate is at hand. The film is produced by Synthetic Cinema, the largest indie company in Connecticut. Their last film, BANSHEE, is currently playing in theaters so there's hope for SASQUATCH ASSAULT to do the same. Good news is that I actually get to play a nerdy character, it's much different than the normal rapist, murderer, liar, cheater roles I usually play. Maybe just once Mom might be proud...?

Sept. 28: I was cast as the lead role in a short film, ONCE UPRIGHT. It's a short story about a husband who enlists in the army to join the Vietnam War but hides it from his wife and kid. She finds out and an emotional confrontation ensues of the how's and why's that are behind his decision. Meanwhile, a parallel story takes place with the couples son and his friends. Should be a great little project. I have to find a way to look a bit retro. Perhaps ill get to wear a cool part in my hair and really tight plaid pants.

Sept. 17: In Heroic Fashion , the short where i run around Harrisburg, PA in tights looking like a mad man is gearing up for festival season. The film was shot in HD on the RED ONE camera which is unbelieveably fantastic looking. Alex Tucker and Erick Fix, the creators of the film and production team, View From The Hill Productions  have been working hard for the last year to get this ready. Check out their site and keep doing it until i say stop, they will update it as we merrily roll along.

Sept 10: The short film, GAMERS, has a pretty nifty online review.

Sept. 1: Will be playing the lead in a commercial for MAJESTIC GARDENS. It is a wedding facility/company based in Long Island. I will be playing the Groom with my lovely wife frolicking about the 'majestic gardens'. It will be on TV, however, it's a tri-state area commercial and not a national,  so you won't be able to see it unless you live around here, or live in the 21st century and have the 'internets'.  I'll post a link as it becomes available so you can see it, if you dare! Because you're bored check out the company site-Hollywood East Prod .

August 22: FOG WARNING has its first official review. It's a good one too! Read it!

August 21: The short film, GAMERS is now available on youtube. It was produced by the CT Film Division and directed by Richard Dobbs (Law & Order, The Cleaner). I have a small part but it's kind of comical. Plus the film is only 4 minutes long, so you should spend the time. Watch it here GAMERS . (You should watch it in High Def. as it was meant to be seen.)

August 12: Did a couple of spoof videos for a small production company. It was a mix between Candid Camera and America's Funniest Videos. In one video, I am proposing to my girlfriend, but when I go to put the ring on her finger, i drop it and it falls into the sewer grate. So i'm frantically trying to find it and my girlfriend is pissed for ruining this and meanwhile, the park is packed in NYC and many people think this is real so of course they are offering a hand. Needless to say it was a lot of fun, slightly embarrassing but great fun. If and when they are posted, i'll put the links on here.

August 8: In a whirlwind, 3 projects have been completed in the past 9 days. THE LAST DAY , a feature with Legion Films is now in post and hopefully will be completed in the coming months. DEAD BOYFRIENDS will be cutting together a trailer with the footage we shot. GAMERS, directed by Richard Dobbs, a FANTASTIC director (Law & Order, The Cleaner) will be posted on the internet very shortly. I have a small part as a dumb jock in love with his muscles, so obviously I wasn't actually acting...This film was produced by the State of Connecticut, so it will be a very high quality production. Imagine the film division of an entire state putting their efforts into a 5 minute film!

July 16: Marty Lang, one of the producer's of FOG WARNING , called and asked me to be in a short that is being produced by the State of Connecticut's Film Division. The director of the film is Richard Dobbs, who directed Law & Order from 1998-2006. Hopefully this will lead to some big boy acting gigs. I'll have to schmooze on set.

July 11: THE SNOW PRINCESS, the animated film that I voiced, has been selected to show at the LA Shorts Film Festival. It takes place the second week in August. So the good news is I have two films that are playing in LA the first two weeks of August. Perhaps Mr. Speilberg will be calling, or M. Night Shyamalan will need me for a spook.

July 9: I will once again be working with Adam Huston (dir. DIRGE TO THE SEA ). He has teamed up with Scott Kegler to create the feature DEAD BOYFRIENDS. For now they are only shooting enough footage to create a trailer. Then once that is put together, the trailer is then 'shopped' around to investors who will hopefully empty their pockets towards the full feature production of the film. Then, if everything works out fantastically, and enough $$ is raised, I will hopefully be asked to continue with my role for the feature film. Either way, it will be nice to work with those chummy fellows once again, and of course get to see beautiful New London, CT.

July 6: AS WE WERE , the short film shot in Maine, will be playing in Hollywood, CA at the HollyShorts Film Festival. What joy!

June 23: Stupendous news! I am now an officially 'signed by agency' actor. I have signed the next year of my life to Craig Holzberg, owner of Avalon Artist. The better news is that this agency is Bi-coastal, so I have representation in NYC and LA. woo hoo!! You can check out the agency site at www.AVALONARTISTS.com

June 21: THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED performance went awesomely well. A packed house! Personally I received comments that this was my best performance to date, and I looked good with clothes on!

June 10: Ok, one more thing--A link to a short scene from DESPERATION , a film from way back. It's inspired by  the book 'Of Mice and Men' by John Steinbeck. And also a little plug for a short film, AS WE WERE. Shot in the beautiful state of Maine, it's a fantastic little film. Check out the dilemma-We're Busy!

June 10: So while I'm at it, I also want to throw down a couple of links for the war film, JACKSONVILLE. Check out a sweet little action scene-Explosions! and a more intimate scene from the film-The Cleansing . This film was screened to the public over a year ago, however it still remains in post production to finish up some of the effects. Hopefully it will be up for purchase in the near future.

June 9: So I've been neglecting a couple things and I feel I need to put a few links on here. Two simple links, for a short film called DIRGE TO THE SEA. It's based on the true story, or legend of the haunting of the New London Lighthouse. This film premiered for an audience back in April, and will soon be available for purchase. Anyway-I wanted to put a couple of links for the Teaser Trailer  and also the Official Trailer . Hope you enjoy-it's a charming little film.

June 3: Last day of ADR for IN HEROIC FASHION. This is the most difficult ADR to date. Trying to match my trembling voice is a pain in the jack ass!

June 2: Rehearsals are off! By off I mean, underway, for THE LITTLE DOG LAUGHED. It's a knee slappin' funny play. Although I play a gay whore, you read that right, it's a great part. June 21st is the show. Posters/Flyers will be emailed around. If you want tickets, email or call.

May 19: I learned something new today! I learned that I just got a supporting role in a short comedy film, IN YOUR HEAD. It's my first supporting role, so it will be nice to be able to suck and not as many people will notice!! Woo hoo!! No really-I'm looking forward to it. I'm looking forward to playing a regular guy. The director of this film, Adam Benlifer, is someone I actually worked with before on PERSON OF INTEREST. He was part of the crew. A little reunion!

May 14: I was just cast as one of the leads in the feature THE LAST DAY by Legion Films . It's in style of Twilight Zone and Tales From the Crypt. More details soon. I am VERY excited by this.

May 13: I was cast in BIG NAKED FEET, a one act play in this years Strawberry Festival in NYC. Not sure of production dates just yet.

May 10: FOG WARNING screened to the public for the third time as a 'test screening'. So far, so good. Reviews have been mostly positive, many people want to see it in theaters!May 8: THE SNOW PRINCESS, the animated film that I voiced, screened to the public. From what I've heard, it went on to get many 'cheers'
